I understand all the controversial talks about the GPL licence used by Joomla Vs Commercial code.
I have produced this code with other freelancers on a commercial licence basis only. It cannot be redistributed or altered in anyway. The code has been locked using IonCube encryption and also each product is locked to a domain name, so it wont work on any other website. This is the strongest form of encoding we could find and they believe is almost impossible to reverse engineer.
The IonCube loaders that are contained within the Mambot installer are provided and owned by IonCube and not myself (New World Designs).
I have spent huge amounts of my time and money in producing this product, and can not release it as open source. For example only one freelancer charged me £900 to correct part of the code i just couldn't work out, and another freelancer who helped with other parts of the code charged another £800.
That's a total of £1700 ($3400) and at £25 per unit it will still take 68 sales before that's paid back never mind the months of research and work i personally put in myself.
I never made this product to make money, but i certainly don't want to be out of pocket, so as long as i can get my money back i will put all other money into the development of other products and hacks to help further Joomla and Virtuemart.
I have already posted many of these ideas on Joomla and Virtuemart forums over the past few months, and had much interest from users.
