At the moment the Mambot wont work with Joomla 1.5, i dont think it is a huge issue to change over, just a few bits, even if it means to get it working in Legacy mode would do for the moment.

The main problem is that VM1.1 isnt in a stable release yet, but is hopefully targeted for 23rd of April 08. http://virtuemart.net/index.php?option=com_content&task=view&id=285&Itemid=57
At least then (in theory) the system should stay roughly the same, so i wont have to keep upgrading and messing around with it when virtuemart changes.

It will be about then that i start researching and looking into how to build the new version

It maybe the case that i jump to Version 5 for Joomla 1.5, as if it is going to take quite a large rebuild i may as well put the effort into the new Joomla system as well and kill 2 birds with one stone.

I'd definately be interested in finding out when a version compatible with J!1.5 and VM1.1 is available, currently I'm manually butchering the J! provided RSS feed and while this isn't too much of an issue on sites with a small selction of products, anything to make things simpler/easier/faster is always welcome.

Could you drop me a mail or reply this one when you have more news?

Well its something I am currently working on, in fact there was a small part i was working on this morning that stumpt me a little, so i asked one of my regular freelancers to have a looksy and let me know what they thought.

The problem is we took on another project www.joomlagooglebase.com then landed a load of work by accident and then found we need to upgrade the feed to work with J1.5 and VM1.1.

So kind of messed things up in work load, which is a real shame.

But you just have to keep plodding on dont you

Any closer to getting a J 1.5 version of Froogle Feed working? I've uploaded the trial version and we get XML errors right out of the chute.
