i work with your Mambot VirtueMart Froogle Demo.

I want buy it and i am testing but google send only error messages.

I read the post about the problem with german characters and i saw that you can help an user.

So before i buy i want a solution for the problem

The outcome from google is: Data feed upload failed. No items are live

Sorry for the delay, Ive been working away

I have the same errors on my feed here, only started a few days ago though. I'm going to have a look and see why it is doing this over the weekend and see what Google has changed.

Sorry for the delay, trying to catch up on work since being on holiday has been a night mare.

I have had a few people send me emails saying they had the same problems, and i found it is because the short description box is empty in your product. If you put some content in it, it will work fine

Here is an example from somebody this afternoon, the error said line 22 required the description, well when you went to line 22 of the XML file, it shows this tag

<description><![CDATA[]]></description>

An empty description tag, which i found using Google translate "beschreibung" means "description"

It should look like this
<description><![CDATA[]]>description go here</description>
That info comes from the short description in the product admin panel.

Please try and fill all of the fields in your product range, and you will find it works fine

I don´t use short descriptions at all and I´m not willing to insert thousands of short descriptions only for your mambot.

Could you please expand your mambot to insert automatically someything (maybe a dot) if there is no short description available?

This is really why i have "Please use my demo before buying" wrote all over, including the buy pages.

The next version, will have a field in the admin that if the short description is empty, it will pre-fill it with what ever you type in the admin field so all products will have a description in the XML to please Google.

I don't have an estimated time yet, as im struggling for time, as we are in the middle of another project at the moment. When it is released, you will be eligible for a free upgrade.
